Eid al-Adha 2027: expected on 16 May 2027

Eid al-Adha — the Festival of Sacrifice — falls on 10 Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, coinciding with the Hajj pilgrimage. In the calculated calendar, 10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1448 AH corresponds to Sunday, 16 May 2027.

Why “expected”? In many countries the month begins with the sighting of the new crescent moon, so the observed date can shift by a day either way depending on the moon and local announcements. Treat 16 May 2027 as the date to plan around, and confirm locally as it approaches. This countdown uses your device clock; after Eid it rolls to the following year's expected date.
