Lorem Ipsum Generator
Placeholder text for mockups and drafts — generate paragraphs, sentences or words, then copy or download.
Private by design: this tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored.
How to use it
Pick what you need. Paragraphs, sentences, or words — and how many (up to 50).
Generate. Fresh placeholder copy appears in the box, starting with the classic opening line if you keep that option ticked.
Copy or download. Copy it straight to your clipboard for your mockup, or save it as a .txt file; generate again anytime for a brand-new batch.
Why use lorem ipsum?
Lorem ipsum is placeholder text designers have used for centuries — scrambled Latin that looks like real writing but means nothing. That's the point: when you're laying out a page, a flyer, or a slide deck, nonsense text keeps the focus on the design itself instead of distracting everyone with words they want to read.
Drop generated paragraphs into your wireframes and mockups to judge spacing, line length, and balance with honest text density. Then swap in your real copy when the layout is right — no more guessing how the finished design will feel.
