Thanksgiving 2026: Thursday, 26 November 2026

Thanksgiving in the United States is always the fourth Thursday of November — a Thursday, never a fixed date. In 2026 that is 26 November; in 2027 it will be 25 November. The rule dates to 1941, when a federal law fixed the fourth-Thursday pattern (after President Lincoln's 1863 proclamation had made the last Thursday the tradition), ending years of states celebrating on different days.

This countdown targets the upcoming fourth Thursday of November using your device clock, and rolls forward to the next year's date automatically once the day passes. Counting down to something of your own instead? Build it with Days Until Any Date.
