URL Encoder & Decoder

Encode a link or a query value for safe travel — or decode a percent-encoded URL back to readable text.

Private by design: this tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored.

How to use it

Paste your URL or value. A whole link, or just the bit that goes inside one.
Pick the mode. Component mode for a single value, full-URL mode for a complete link.
Press Encode or Decode, then copy. Broken % sequences are flagged, not silently mangled.

The one mistake this tool prevents

Most URL bugs come from encoding the wrong thing: encoding a whole link with component rules turns its ? and & into %3F and %26, breaking the link; encoding a value with full-URL rules leaves its & and = live, splitting one value into two parameters. That is why this tool keeps the two modes separate and labelled. Pick the mode that matches what you pasted, and the result is a link that survives sharing, forms and redirects intact.
